The AtlasIED HPA2408 is an eight-channel, 2400-watt commercial power amplifier built for integrators deploying large distributed constant-voltage systems or high-SPL sound reinforcement installations. Its Generation II Class D output topology delivers the efficiency of Class D with the sonic character of Class AB, making it a practical choice for facilities requiring sustained high-output amplification without excessive AC draw — a single 15A mains circuit handles full 120V operation.
Each channel operates independently across 4Ω, 8Ω, 25V, 70V, and 100V loads, giving system designers the flexibility to mix impedance zones within a single amplifier frame. The universal PFC power supply accepts 100V–240V AC and maintains stability under fluctuating mains conditions, supporting global deployment in hospitality, transit, education, and large-venue installed audio environments. An optional Dante eight-channel digital audio interface card expands connectivity for networked AV infrastructures without requiring an external interface.
Front-panel detented attenuators with security covers, selectable input sensitivity, BUSS input with per-channel assignment, and built-in fault reporting give AV technicians the operational visibility and control needed for complex multi-zone systems. The direct-couple thermal transfer design and variable-speed fan with removable air filters address long-term reliability in rack-dense equipment rooms where thermal management is critical.
