The AtlasIED 5416CS series is engineered for systems integrators and AV professionals deploying structured announcement and communications infrastructure in commercial, institutional, and transportation environments. As a network appliance, each station supports automatic or static IP addressing, simplifying large-scale installation and configuration across distributed facilities.
The 16-button programmable interface is purpose-built to initiate audio and visual announcements within the 5400 Series Announcement Control Systems. The electret condenser cartridge is positioned within the housing to enhance frequency response and ensure strong acoustical coupling, producing a full-bodied, highly intelligible voice signal for critical paging applications. An auxiliary line-level audio input supports local background music sources, while a line-level audio output enables direct zone routing.
The handheld microphone variant employs an omnidirectional electret condenser cartridge integrated with a microphone preamplifier and audio line driver. The omnidirectional pickup pattern eliminates proximity effect distortion, maintaining consistent tonal quality regardless of mic-to-mouth distance — a practical advantage in high-traffic environments where operator technique varies. Coiled cable with molded RJ25 connectors and a magnetic base attachment mechanism provide durable, reliable daily operation in demanding installed environments.
