The AtlasIED IED5450CS-G is a fully programmable touch screen digital communications station designed for use with the 5400 Series Announcement Control Systems. It is built for facility integrators and AV system designers who need a reliable, intelligible paging interface in environments such as schools, hospitals, transportation hubs, and commercial facilities. The gooseneck microphone assembly mounts via a 5-pin XLR connector in the base and uses an omnidirectional electret condenser cartridge positioned to maximize acoustical coupling, delivering a full-bodied, highly intelligible voice signal without the proximity effect common to directional capsules.
The station includes an auxiliary line level audio input that can serve as a local background music source, and a line level audio output configurable as a zone output — making it a flexible node within a distributed paging architecture. Its network appliance design allows IP addresses to be assigned automatically or statically, simplifying large-scale installation and system configuration across multiple zones or buildings.
Compared to fixed-function paging stations, the touch screen interface provides user-configurable control over audio and visual announcements without requiring dedicated programming hardware at each station. The electret condenser cartridge is housed and tuned within the enclosure to enhance frequency response, making it a more capable choice for facilities where voice intelligibility is operationally critical.
