The AtlasIED IP-SDMF is purpose-built for integrators and AV system designers who need a single-endpoint solution for mass notification, public address, and critical alerting in high-ambient-noise commercial environments. Registering directly as a SIP device or within InformaCast and Revolution Advanced Notification platforms, it eliminates the need for separate paging amplifiers or standalone clock systems — the unit synchronizes via NTP and displays time when idle, switching automatically to scrolling text notifications during active broadcasts.
The IP-SDMF is suited for corporate campuses, K-12 and higher education, healthcare facilities, transportation hubs, industrial sites, and government buildings where a unified enterprise communications backbone is already in place. Its 8" coaxial driver is optimized specifically for voice intelligibility rather than music reproduction, making it the right tool for intelligible speech in reverberant or noisy spaces. LED flashers below the LCD display provide ADA-compliant visual alerting, ensuring effective communication reaches occupants regardless of hearing ability.
For installers, the auto-registration feature streamlines deployment by allowing the unit to sit on the same Voice VLAN as existing VoIP handsets, inheriting the same QoS policies. The factory-assembled speaker, grill, and PCB amp/control board ship as a ready-to-mount assembly, and GPI/O ports enable third-party system integration for trigger-based critical alert scenarios. The 18-gauge powder-coated steel grille meets the durability demands of permanent commercial installations.
