The AtlasIED IPX Series IP-SM is engineered for commercial and institutional AV integrators who need a single network endpoint to handle public address, critical alerting, intercom, and bell scheduling without deploying separate systems. The 8" coaxial driver is optimized for voice intelligibility in high-ambient-noise environments and large spaces where smaller speakers fall short. The integrated omni-directional electret condenser microphone enables two-way communication directly from the speaker location to any PC or phone handset, eliminating the need for supplemental intercom hardware.
The IP-SM registers natively as a SIP device or as a communication endpoint within Singlewire InformaCast and Revolution Advanced Notification platforms, supporting auto-registration via SLP, DHCP Option 72, or IEDNet+. This places VoIP phones and IP speakers on the same Voice VLAN with shared QoS, ensuring communication integrity across the WAN/LAN architecture. GPI/O ports provide trigger inputs for intercom requests or critical alert notification and enable unified connectivity with third-party systems.
Designed for corporate campuses, K-12 and higher education, government buildings, healthcare facilities, houses of worship, transportation hubs, and entertainment complexes, the IP-SM consolidates mass notification and day-to-day communications into a single enterprise-class platform. The 18-gauge powder-coated steel grille and factory-assembled PCB amp/control board deliver durability appropriate for demanding commercial environments where long-term reliability is a procurement requirement.
