The AtlasIED IP-SM-72 is purpose-built for systems integrators and AV professionals deploying enterprise-class IP audio in facilities that demand high voice intelligibility, high output, and phased-rollout flexibility. The 8" coaxial driver is optimized for speech reproduction in high-ambient-noise environments, making it a practical fit for industrial facilities, transportation hubs, healthcare campuses, and large education institutions where standard ceiling speakers fall short.

The IP-SM-72 registers directly as a SIP endpoint or within Singlewire InformaCast and Syn-Apps Revolution for mass notification, bell scheduling, intercom, and critical alerting — all over the existing WAN/LAN infrastructure. The integrated 25V/70V transformer with a front-baffle selector switch lets the speaker operate on an existing analog paging system during network rollout, then switch to IP operation without removing the unit from the ceiling. This is a significant advantage in phased installations where downtime cannot be tolerated.

An omnidirectional subminiature electret condenser microphone mounted behind the steel grille enables two-way talkback to any PC or phone handset. GPI/O ports support physical trigger inputs for intercom requests or third-party system integration. Auto-registration via SLP, DHCP Option 72, or IEDNet+ simplifies deployment at scale across a Voice VLAN, applying the same QoS policies that govern VoIP handsets on the same network.
