The AtlasIED M1000-W is a complete, pre-assembled sound masking speaker assembly built for commercial plenum and open ceiling deployments where accurate masking spectrum reproduction and code-compliant installation are non-negotiable. Acoustic integrators and low-voltage contractors will find the included 8" dual cone driver, high-efficiency 70.7V transformer, enclosure, baffle, and all mounting hardware factory-ready, eliminating job-site assembly and reducing labor cost on large distributed installations.
The square enclosure provides substantial internal volume engineered to support adequate low-frequency extension for effective masking signal coverage — a critical performance factor that undersized enclosures routinely compromise. The external tap selector switch gives technicians quick access to five wattage settings without opening the enclosure, simplifying zone-level tuning on 70V distributed systems during commissioning or post-install adjustments.
Approved for installation in air handling plenum spaces and safety listed to both UL 1480 and UL 2043, the M1000-W meets the compliance requirements most commercial building codes demand for above-ceiling audio equipment. The exclusive EZ hang bracket system supports upward, downward, or side-firing placement from a single factory-installed hardware set, making it adaptable to virtually any ceiling construction. An integral wire strain relief on the enclosure top secures speaker cable termination. Note: a separate masking signal generator and 70.7V amplifier are required for system operation.
