The AtlasIED M1000R is engineered for commercial sound masking installations in open-plan office environments where ceiling infrastructure is fully exposed to occupants. The round black enclosure blends with suspended ductwork, lighting fixtures, and other overhead devices, making it a natural fit for modern architectural interiors where aesthetics and acoustic performance must coexist. It is intended for use with a separate masking generator and 70.7V amplifier, making it a purpose-built component for engineered speech-privacy systems rather than a general-purpose distributed audio speaker.
Where competing products require field assembly or separate transformer wiring, the M1000R ships as a factory-complete unit — 8" dual cone transducer, low-insertion-loss 70.7V line matching transformer, and enclosure are pre-assembled and tested. The 382 cubic inch enclosure volume supports accurate low-frequency masking spectrum reproduction, which is critical for effective speech privacy. An external five-position tap switch covers 0.25 through 4 watts plus OFF, giving integrators system-level level control without accessing the enclosure interior. The included 78" suspension chain simplifies height adjustment during installation, and the integral strain relief on the enclosure top provides a clean, secure cable termination point. UL1480 and UL2043 listings confirm suitability for air-handling plenum spaces, satisfying code requirements common in commercial construction.
