The AtlasIED M2000-LP is a self-contained sound masking speaker assembly built for installation into small plenum spaces in commercial environments. It ships pre-assembled with two 2" x 4" paper cone speakers housed in a square enclosure engineered to deliver the accurate frequency response that effective masking requires — a design choice that distinguishes it from generic ceiling speakers pressed into masking duty.
The integrated 70.7V transformer eliminates the need for an external matching device, and the front-mounted tap selector switch allows installers to adjust output from 0.25 to 4 watts without rewiring. Color-coded 18-gauge leads with a Romex clamp input simplify rough-in, while knockout provisions and a strain relief on the cover support both rigid and flexible conduit in code-sensitive environments. The unit is UL 2043 listed for air handling spaces, satisfying the plenum rating requirements found in most commercial construction specifications.
This speaker is the right choice for AV integrators and systems contractors deploying zoned 70V masking systems in offices, healthcare facilities, or any occupied space requiring speech privacy. Note that a separate masking signal generator and 70.7V amplifier are required for operation and are not included.
