AtlasIED M2000-SM Surface Mount Sound Masking Transducer

The AtlasIED M2000-SM is engineered for security-conscious installers and integrators who need a low-profile sound masking solution in environments where conventional speaker placement is impractical or undesirable. The two-part transducer and transformer design allows the exciter plate to bond directly to flat surfaces — including glass, drywall, metal ducts, and doors — while the transformer can be remote-mounted separately, giving installers flexibility in tight plenum or finished-ceiling environments.

Incorporating NXT Exciter Technology in a compact 1-inch coil-mounted plate, the M2000-SM turns structural surfaces into masking radiators without adding visible speakers to the space. This makes it particularly well-suited for conference rooms, legal offices, government facilities, financial institutions, and any environment requiring HIPAA or speech-privacy compliance where aesthetics and discretion are critical. Variable transformer tap settings allow output level to be tuned to the acoustic environment without additional hardware changes.

Unlike conventional ceiling-tile masking speakers, the M2000-SM integrates into the building structure itself, reducing installation footprint and eliminating the need for dedicated ceiling speaker cutouts. It requires a compatible sound masking generator and 70.7V amplifier to operate, making it a targeted addition to a complete AtlasIED or third-party masking system rather than a standalone device.
