AtlasIED P77-8 Plastic Ceiling Speaker Mounting Ring for Retrofit

The AtlasIED P77-8 is engineered for AV integrators and installers tackling retrofit ceiling speaker projects where above-ceiling access is limited or impossible. Rather than requiring a technician to work from above the ceiling deck, this mounting ring is designed to be installed entirely from ground level — a critical advantage in occupied facilities, finished spaces, and plenum areas with obstructions.

The installation process is straightforward: cut the required diameter hole in the ceiling, snap the ring at its breakslot, maneuver it up through the opening, and let it seat above the ceiling surface. This approach eliminates the need for ceiling tile removal or attic access, reducing labor time and minimizing disruption to the installation environment. The polystyrene plastic construction keeps the ring lightweight without sacrificing the structural integrity needed to support compatible 8" ceiling speaker baffles.
