The AtlasIED PD-5VT is designed for AV integrators and sound contractors specifying compression drivers for large-format horn-based paging and distributed audio installations. With a 2-inch voice coil, ceramic magnet assembly, and a plane wave frequency response extending from 190Hz to 4.2kHz, it delivers intelligible speech reproduction in demanding environments including warehouses, industrial facilities, transportation hubs, and outdoor venues.

The built-in varnish-impregnated, tropic-sealed transformer provides multi-tap 70.7V line-level matching directly at the driver, simplifying wiring and eliminating the need for external transformers in constant-voltage distributed systems. The unit is also adaptable to 25V audio system operation, adding flexibility for legacy or mixed-topology installations. Selectable power taps allow precise level matching across zones without additional passive components.

Where competing drivers require separate transformer housings or custom mounting adapters, the PD-5VT threads directly onto any large-format horn with a standard 1 3/8"-18 male coupling, reducing installation time and hardware complexity. Its grey baked-epoxy finish and corrosion-resistant screw-type terminals with a transparent strain-relief cover make it suitable for both indoor and outdoor deployment where durability is a priority.
