The AtlasIED PM8FA-B is engineered for integrators specifying distributed audio in commercial environments where ceiling height limits conventional speaker placement. Built around the same FA138 8" coaxial driver found in AtlasIED's FAP82T ceiling package, the down-firing pendant enclosure delivers consistent wide-area coverage without the pattern loss or comb filtering common to cheaper pendant alternatives. Its 100-degree dispersion at 2kHz makes it a reliable choice for open-plan retail, hospitality, house-of-worship lobbies, and transit facilities where even coverage across a listening plane is non-negotiable.
The onboard 70.7V transformer supports six wattage taps from 1.9W to 60W, giving system designers the flexibility to balance line loading across large distributed zones without external transformer hardware. An 8-ohm direct input via concealed terminal block preserves compatibility with non-70V amplifier systems. Installation is handled through the included 3-meter cable kit with self-gripping ferrule for open-beam ceilings, or via any standard 3/4" ceiling fan down-pipe kit for hard-ceiling applications — reducing truck rolls and third-party hardware dependencies on commercial job sites.
