The AtlasIED SB36W is engineered for broadcast studios, recording rooms, and live stage environments where microphone positioning demands both precision and protection. The variable, piston-type air suspension system absorbs shock and vibration at the boom head, safeguarding sensitive microphones during height adjustments and repositioning — a critical advantage over conventional friction-arm stands that offer no dampening.
The two-piece horizontal boom is constructed from 7/8" diameter cold-rolled steel and incorporates a heavy-duty die-cast gyromatic swivel paired with an adjustable counterweight for repeatable, secure orientation. The standard 5/8"-27 threaded mic swivel ensures compatibility with virtually all microphone holders and adapters in professional use. The vertical tube assembly uses chrome-plated cold-rolled steel in a telescoping two-section configuration, locked by AtlasIED's wearproof grip-action clutch for fast, noise-free adjustment without hardware loosening over time.
The triangular cast-metal base distributes edge-concentrated weight for superior stability on stage floors and in production environments. Silent-motion, ball-bearing swivel casters of hard rubber allow friction-free movement between positions without lifting the stand, reducing setup time in high-traffic recording and live production workflows.
