The AtlasIED studio boom mic stand series targets broadcast studios, recording facilities, and high-use production environments where microphone safety and repeatable positioning are non-negotiable. The variable piston-type air suspension system absorbs shock during height adjustment, reducing the risk of mic damage in daily-use scenarios that wear down standard spring-loaded designs.
The two-piece horizontal boom assembly uses cold-rolled steel with a heavy-duty die-cast gyromatic swivel, giving engineers precise angular control without boom drift. The adjustable counterweight allows fine-tuned balance across a wide range of microphone and shock mount combinations, making the stand compatible with condenser capsules, ribbon mics, and heavy-duty broadcast holders without re-centering the rig. A standard 5/8"-27 threaded swivel at the boom tip ensures compatibility across all microphone adapters and holders in a professional signal chain.
The triangular cast metal base uses edge-concentrated weight distribution for stability on uneven studio floors, and the chrome-plated cold-rolled steel vertical tube assembly extends from 49 to 73 inches, covering seated and standing mic positions. Silent-motion ball-bearing swivel casters in hard rubber allow friction-free repositioning between takes without vibration transfer to the stand structure. The wearproof AtlasIED grip-action clutch delivers fast one-handed height changes with a secure positive lock on every setting.
