The AtlasIED SHS-EXT is a purpose-built accessory for installers working with SHS-series strategically hidden speakers in above-standard ceiling thicknesses. When a standard ceiling cutout depth is insufficient for flush diffuser attachment, the SHS-EXT attaches directly to the SHS sound chamber to bridge the gap, enabling clean, compliant installation without improvised workarounds.

Designed specifically for the SHS-6T2 and SHS-3T2, this extension maintains the acoustic integrity of the sound chamber while allowing the selected SHS diffuser to mount securely. AtlasIED limits use to a maximum of two SHS-EXT units per SHS-6T2 speaker to preserve proper sound coverage and output quality — a critical consideration for hospitality, corporate, and retail installs where even coverage is non-negotiable.
