The AtlasIED SM195-812 is a surface mount protective enclosure engineered for installed audio and clock/speaker systems in commercial and institutional environments. Designed specifically to house 840-Series clock/speaker baffles, this enclosure suits AV integrators and facilities teams working on new construction or retrofit projects where surface-mounted 8-inch loudspeaker installations are required.
Constructed from 20-gauge cold-rolled steel and heavily undercoated, the enclosure resists mechanical resonance that can degrade audio clarity in speech-intelligibility-critical spaces such as classrooms, corridors, and healthcare facilities. An internal compartment divider keeps high and low voltage wiring separated, supporting code-compliant 70V distributed audio installations. Twelve knockouts—four each on top and bottom, two on each end—offer flexible conduit entry points that accommodate a wide range of rough-in conditions.
The SM195-812 carries a textured white epoxy finish matched to the 840-Series baffle panel for a clean, unified appearance on finished walls.
