With a polypropylene woofer, ferrofluid-cooled dome tweeter, and a TRX WAVEGUIDE constant-directivity system, these speakers deliver consistent coverage in foreground and background music applications without requiring external transformers or additional mounting hardware.
Weather-resistant construction makes the SM42T equally viable for covered outdoor terraces, open-air retail patios, houses of worship, and indoor corporate spaces where moisture or temperature cycling would compromise lesser enclosures. The integrated 70.7V/100V step-down transformer with selectable power taps and an 8Ω bypass gives installers the flexibility to drop these into both distributed 70V systems and direct-coupled zone amplifiers within the same project.
The included color-matched heavy-duty C-bracket provides multi-position aiming without additional hardware, and all quarter-twenty inserts accept standard security hardware for installations where vandal resistance is a specification requirement. UL 1480A safety listing satisfies compliance requirements in commercial construction projects, and the five-year warranty reflects the long-service-life expectation of permanent installs.
