The internally mounted 32-watt line matching transformer with 8Ω bypass and screwdriver-selectable taps makes it straightforward to configure across background music, paging, and foreground sound applications in commercial, institutional, and outdoor environments.

The enclosure is constructed from UV-resistant, talc-impregnated polypropylene with powder-coated aluminum grilles and all-brass hardware, passing a 100-hour salt spray test per ASTM B117. This makes the SM63T a credible choice for covered outdoor venues, pool decks, building exteriors, and other demanding install environments where lesser cabinets degrade quickly. A tongue-in-groove cover with rubber wire exit grommet seals the input and transformer switch assembly against moisture intrusion.

The included zinc chromate plated C-bracket supports both vertical and horizontal mounting orientations, and the symmetrical high-frequency design maintains even 120°H x 120°V coverage regardless of cabinet position. A 5/8"-27 threaded hole on the bracket allows near-field deployment on any AtlasIED mic stand, while OMNIMOUNT-compatible rear inserts and standard 1/4"-20 hardware inserts accommodate third-party vandal-resistant fasteners — a practical detail for public-space installs where security hardware is required.
