The AtlasIED SM Series surface mount speaker is engineered for integrators deploying distributed audio in demanding indoor and outdoor environments. The 6.5" polypropylene woofer pairs with a FerroFluid-cooled titanium dome tweeter, managed by the AtlasIED TRX Control WaveGuide director for smooth 120° x 120° horizontal and vertical coverage. The symmetrical high-frequency section ensures consistent dispersion whether the cabinet is mounted vertically or horizontally, eliminating coverage gaps in complex room geometries.
An internally mounted 32-watt 70.7V/100V line matching transformer with 8Ω bypass and screwdriver-selectable tap switching makes this speaker a direct fit for commercial distributed audio systems without external transformers or additional hardware. The sealed switch assembly and tongue-in-groove input cover with rubber grommet protect connections from moisture ingress in exposed installations.
Built to survive UV exposure, salt air, and temperature cycling, the enclosure uses UV-resistant talc-impregnated polypropylene, powder-coated aluminum grilles, and all-brass hardware inserts. The included C-bracket supports vertical or horizontal wall mounting, accepts OMNIMOUNT adapters via rear inserts, and includes a 5/8"-27 threaded hole for compatibility with AtlasIED microphone stands in near-field live applications. UL 1480A safety listing and a five-year warranty back the installation.
