The AtlasIED SM82T-B is engineered for system integrators and AV professionals specifying distributed audio in commercial, institutional, and outdoor installation environments. Combining an 8" HYCONET-treated woofer with a 1" exit titanium high-frequency compression driver, the SM82T-B delivers consistent vocal and musical clarity across venues where reliability and coverage consistency are non-negotiable — including retail spaces, houses of worship, transit facilities, and covered outdoor areas.
The internally mounted 60-watt 70.7V/100V line-matching transformer with 8Ω bypass and screwdriver-selectable taps (1.9, 3.8, 7.5, 15, 30, and 60 watts) makes this speaker a direct drop-in for distributed 70V or 100V systems without external hardware. The TRX Control WaveGuide provides a symmetrical 65°H x 65°V constant-directivity pattern, allowing the same cabinet to be mounted vertically or horizontally without sacrificing high-frequency coverage. PolyGuard circuit protection safeguards the HF driver from damaging transient signals.
Built to withstand salt spray, UV degradation, and moisture exposure, the SM82T-B is constructed with talc-impregnated polypropylene enclosures, powder-coated aluminum grilles, and all-brass hardware. The included zinc chromate plated C-bracket supports both wall and stand mounting via a 5/8"-27 threaded insert, and a tongue-in-groove input cover with rubber grommet seals connections against moisture intrusion. UL 1480A listing confirms suitability for fire alarm and life safety signal applications.
