The AtlasIED TSD-ALC2 is a two-channel automatic audio level controller and limiter designed for AV integrators and system designers who need reliable source-level management in permanent installations. It is purpose-built for venues where unattended playback from satellite receivers, streaming devices, or MP3 players creates unpredictable volume spikes — including retail stores, restaurants, sports bars, hotels, and event centers. By inserting the TSD-ALC2 inline with source outputs, operators can set a hard maximum level that prevents audience disruption during loud commercial breaks or abrupt input switching.
The unit pairs directly with Atlas Strategy Series Mixer Amplifiers, and when combined with an AA-YSUM input cable, enables passive stereo combining with level control at each source input — a clean, low-part-count solution for multi-source distributed audio systems. Front-panel controls for threshold, ramp speed, and output gain are each protected by removable security covers, preventing unauthorized adjustment after commissioning. Four onboard LED indicators — green input, red input peak, yellow ALC active, and blue power — give installers immediate visual confirmation of operating status without requiring external metering.
Efficiency is a core design priority: at only 1.4 watts of power consumption, multiple TSD-ALC2 units can share a single 24V DC power supply (sold separately), reducing rack hardware and simplifying power distribution in multi-zone installs.
