The VOX and contact closure priority trigger on Input 1 mutes Input 3, enabling hands-free paging over background music without a separate controller. A variable output limiter protects downstream equipment when mixing sources with widely varying signal levels — a practical safeguard in multi-zone commercial installations.
Remote level control via the AAVC-10K or equivalent wall plate keeps user adjustments off the rack, and the 12 dB/octave high-pass filter at 125 Hz reduces low-frequency rumble on any channel. The unit draws only 60 mA, allowing multiple TSD devices to share a single TSD power supply — sold separately — which simplifies multi-room deployments and lowers rack overhead. Security covers on all front panel controls prevent unauthorized tampering in public-facing installations.
