The AtlasIED Texas Tough series targets AV integrators who need a 25RU rack cabinet that performs as a front-of-house display piece rather than a back-closet utility box. The signature digital rack crown houses an edge-lit acrylic badge — available in custom logo graphics and multiple LED colors — alongside a contact closure circuit that triggers a color change and audible alarm when connected equipment reports a fault. This makes post-installation monitoring visible without requiring a technician to open the cabinet.
Down-firing soffit LEDs with independently adjustable intensity for open and closed door states serve two professional needs: full-brightness task lighting when a technician is servicing gear, and low-level ambient illumination that showcases installed equipment in executive boardrooms, hospitality venues, or high-profile commercial installs. Rail depth is field-adjustable via the patented DINlok system, which snaps standard E.I.A.-spacing rails onto universal DIN tracks and slides them fore or aft without tools, accommodating the full range of shallow and deep rack-mount equipment in a single cabinet.
Texas Tough enclosures are built from 16-gauge steel and carry a UL 2416 safety listing, setting them apart from import alternatives that lack third-party certification. The gangable side-panel design lets integrators bolt multiple units together with pass-through cutouts for cable routing, or deploy them standalone with dust-filter cubes installed — a practical consideration for mechanical rooms and open-plan AV furniture installations alike. All cabinets are manufactured in the USA and backed by a five-year warranty.
