The AtlasIED Texas Tough series targets AV integrators and systems engineers who need a rack that performs in client-facing spaces — boardrooms, lobbies, control rooms, and house-of-worship installations — where equipment infrastructure is visible and expected to make an impression. Unlike utility racks designed to be hidden, these cabinets are engineered to be displayed, with a digital rack crown featuring an LED edge-lit acrylic badge that can be custom-branded with a client logo or integrator contact information and set to any color scheme the project requires.

The crown's integrated circuit board includes a contact closure that connects to remote fault indicators, triggering a color change and audible alarm when equipment faults occur — giving technicians an immediate visual and audio cue without opening the rack. Down-firing LED soffit lighting serves a dual purpose: full-intensity illumination for technicians servicing equipment with the door open, and dimmable ambient light to showcase installed gear when the door is closed, with intensity controlled via dip switch. The patented DINlok rail system allows front-to-rear rail depth to be repositioned without tools, accommodating shallow network switches alongside deep amplifiers within the same cabinet.

Texas Tough racks ship with two pairs of 10-32 tapped mounting rails at standard E.I.A. 5/8"-5/8"-1/2" spacing. Replaceable filter cubes slot into the multi-functional side cutouts to limit dust ingress, while locking points on the side panels allow multiple units to be bolted into a gangable array with cable pass-through between cabinets. Sixteen-gauge steel construction on all top, bottom, and frame members and a 60-month warranty back these cabinets for permanent installed-sound and AV-over-IP infrastructure deployments.
