The AtlasIED Texas Tough series is purpose-built for AV integrators who need a 40RU cabinet that performs in high-profile installed environments — boardrooms, houses of worship, command centers, and facilities where equipment visibility matters. Unlike utility-grade racks designed to disappear into a closet, the Texas Tough is engineered to serve as a finished architectural element while delivering the functional depth that demanding rack builds require.

At the core of the Texas Tough's design is the digital rack crown — a structural top section housing an LED edgelit acrylic badge that can be configured to any color and custom-branded with a client or integrator logo. The integrated circuit board includes a contact closure output for connection to a remote fault indicator, triggering a color change and audible alarm when equipment issues arise. This gives facilities teams and service technicians an immediate visual and audible status cue without opening a monitoring dashboard. Down-firing LED soffit lights with dip-switch intensity control illuminate the interior for service work or provide ambient backlighting when the door is closed.

Rail depth is field-adjustable via the patented DINlok system, which snaps standard EIA mounting rails onto DIN rail tracks and allows sliding repositioning to accommodate varying equipment depths — a meaningful advantage over fixed-rail alternatives when populating a rack with mixed AV, IT, and network gear. Cabinets can operate standalone with solid side panels or be ganged into multi-bay arrays using integrated locking points. Cutout panels serve double duty as cable pass-throughs between ganged units or as housings for dust-filter cubes in standalone installs.
