The AtlasIED VP410-S is engineered for installed audio environments where speaker protection and aesthetic continuity cannot be compromised. Designed for system integrators and AV installers working in schools, correctional facilities, transit hubs, healthcare corridors, and other high-abuse public spaces, the VP410-S delivers a fully enclosed, tamper-resistant baffle solution that holds a standard 8-inch driver or an APF Series horn without sacrificing audio performance.

The housing is spun from .090 tempered aluminum plate for structural rigidity, while the grille trim ring is cast from a self-aging aluminum alloy rated at 44,000 P.S.I. tensile strength — roughly twice that of conventional aluminum castings. The speaker grille is backed by a stainless-steel woven wire mesh screen spun over a 21-gauge perforated CRS subplate, and final assembly uses flush-mount, heat-treated alloy screws that are countersunk and require a special wrench, eliminating casual tampering. Rear edges are slightly recessed so the baffle seats flush and tight against the ceiling surface, blocking rear access entirely.

Installation flexibility covers both standard electrical outlet box mounting via rear keyhole slots and direct flush mounting to ceiling or wall surfaces using anchors. The APF Series flange mounting horn can be accommodated with the FAMT-6 adapter plate, though installers should note the VP410-S is only compatible with the APF-15 8-ohm horn — the APF-15T transformer version exceeds height constraints. The satin aluminum finish with clear lacquer coating blends into commercial interiors cleanly.
