The AtlasIED VPCS Series wired intercom station is engineered for demanding installed audio environments where durability, voice intelligibility, and serviceability are non-negotiable. Designed for system integrators deploying intercom in commercial, institutional, and security-driven installations, this station fits standard 2- and 3-gang electrical back boxes with a shallow mounting depth that accommodates tight wall cavities without modification.
The 2.5-inch phenolic resin impregnated, moisture-proof cloth cone loudspeaker delivers optimized response in the speech frequency range, making it well-suited for corridors, entry points, classrooms, and secure access areas where clear voice transmission is the primary requirement. The two-piece die-cast baffle system adds a layer of physical protection against tampering and vandalism, a critical consideration in public or semi-public installations where exposed speaker assemblies are vulnerable.
The 25V transformer with selectable watt taps gives the integrator precise control over output level within a 70V/25V distributed audio system, reducing the need for additional level-matching hardware. Models with the PB designation add a heavy-duty momentary push-button call switch on an 11-gauge stainless steel face plate, extending functionality to access control and call origination scenarios. The unit's modular design also simplifies in-field service, reducing labor time during maintenance cycles.
