The AtlasIED WMA Series Half Rack is engineered for integrators who routinely face challenging installation environments where conventional rack enclosures simply won't fit. The patent-pending swing-down mechanism allows the entire rack to fold forward, giving technicians clear access to rear connections and cable management without requiring clearance behind the unit — a critical advantage in equipment closets, server rooms, and ceiling-mounted applications.
Designed specifically for half rack width components, the WMA Series is equally at home in corporate offices, retail stores, educational facilities, and industrial complexes where rack space is at a premium. An optional adapter enables vertical mounting of standard 19" full-width components, expanding compatibility beyond the half-rack ecosystem without requiring a separate enclosure.
Construction takes place at AtlasIED's Ennis, TX facility using 16-gauge CRS finished in black electrostatic powder coat. Front-adjustable 12-gauge CRS rack rails are tapped at 10-32, and the cabinet includes provisions for wire management, equipment mounting, and structural support. Perforated vents on both sides of the center section, along with removable 3RU panels compatible with the optional EFP3-HR fan panel, ensure adequate thermal management for rack-mounted electronics in enclosed spaces.
