The AtlasIED Z-SIGN is designed for facilities where speech privacy is a compliance or operational requirement — conference rooms, healthcare facilities, legal offices, and secure meeting spaces. It functions as a wireless transceiver that pairs with the Z2-B and Z4-B base units, allowing staff to activate or deactivate Speech Privacy Enhancement mode without accessing the base unit directly. The visual indicator provides an unambiguous at-a-glance confirmation that the room's privacy mode is active, eliminating guesswork for occupants and administrators alike.
Unlike fixed wall controls, the Z-SIGN operates on the 915MHz ISM Band for reliable long-range transmission across larger floor plans, while also incorporating Bluetooth Low Energy for short-range pairing to iOS and Android mobile devices via the Z Series app. This dual-radio architecture supports three distinct operating configurations: wireless activation switch with visual indicator, visual-only indicator with the button disabled, or a data conduit between a mobile device and the Z Series base unit for remote control and system status monitoring. Up to 10 Z-SIGNs can be paired to a single base unit, making multi-zone or multi-entry deployments straightforward. The unit runs on included rechargeable batteries or a 5V DC supply, and battery-saving modes help sustain operation in low-traffic areas.
