The AT4022’s low-mass diaphragm improves transient response and reduces self-noise from handling or mechanical noise transfer—making it a great choice for use in a setup of digital recording equipment. Its omnidirectional polar pattern precision-captures and preserves the ambient sound of the recording location while delivering flat, extended frequency response. The mic also has a wide dynamic range that enables it to easily handle high sound pressure levels (133 dB, 1 kHz at Max SPL), and free it from proximity effect. AT4022 also features a switchable 80 Hz hi-pass filter and 10 dB pad.
