Audio-Technica AT831 Cardioid Condenser Lavalier Microphone | Model: AT831b

Cardioid polar pattern of this lav mic has a 120° angle of acceptance. This pattern and acceptance angle allow the mic to focus in on the desired sound source while minimizing background noises to the sides and rear of the mic. Lavalier adapts to the environment with a frequency response of 40-16,000 Hz and the ability to handle sound pressure levels up to 135 dB.

All AT831 models have the features detailed above, with termination styles, cable length and power module changing depending on the model. Models with a power module can switch between flat response or low-frequency roll-off positions for further sound control. 11V to 52V of phantom power is required to operate all models except AT831b (AT831b can use phantom power or battery).
