With three of dynamic microphone ATM230, you no longer need to worry about a microphone’s proximity to instruments causing feedback, or deal with the difficulty of capturing quality instrument sound throughout expressive volume changes. Every aspect of this microphone’s audio performance and design combine to create an outstanding sound solution for rack and floor toms, snare drums, and other percussion instruments.
Hypercardioid polar pattern of the three included microphones makes them ideal for handling very high sound pressure levels at close range. With a 100° angle of acceptance, this polar pattern makes the microphones more sensitive to sound directly in front of them. This further controls feedback and reduces pickup of unwanted ambient sounds. Frequency response of these moving coil dynamic mics is between 30 Hz and 12,000 Hz. Microphone output is a 3-pin XLRM-type connector.
Miking percussion instruments requires a low-profile sound solution. The ATM230 is small and lightweight enough to be placed in many locations around a drum kit with the included drum mounts and stand clamps. Flat capsule design allows mic to be placed very close to a drumhead, and quality audio design inside the mic allows it to shine in that close placement.
