Its length of just over 15.5 inches and extremely narrow polar pattern make this mic excellent at long distance pickup in audio reproduction. This condenser microphone is well-suited to broadcasting, film/TV production, and theater sound reinforcement applications.
Broadcast-quality sound shines through in multiple elements of the BP4071. It provides the same directivity as other microphones up to 50% longer than its 15.55 inches. This design allows the microphone to create crisp intelligible audio reproduction while rejecting ambient noise from the sides and rear of the mic. Direct-coupled balanced output keeps signal clean even in high-output environments. Switchable 10 dB pad lowers the microphone’s sensitivity, allowing the mic to withstand higher SPLs. Another switch for choosing between flat response or low-frequency roll off allows greater frequency control. Phantom power at 48V is required to operate this condenser microphone.
