The Audix NCEC Novacore Extended Cardioid wireless capsule is engineered for performers and engineers who require stable, natural vocal reproduction regardless of mic technique or stage movement. Where standard cardioid capsules shift tonal character as a performer moves closer or farther away, the NCEC maintains a consistent sonic signature across the full performance area. This makes it equally suited to disciplined broadcast interviews, comedy and speaking engagements where talent freely moves, and demanding live vocal applications where consistency between sound check and performance is non-negotiable.
At the core of the NCEC is Audix VLM (Very Low Mass) diaphragm technology. The exceptionally lightweight diaphragm responds with minimal inertia, delivering ultra-fast transient response that captures the percussive attack and subtle nuance of the human voice. An internal suspension system adds superior shock absorption and acoustic damping, keeping handling and mechanical noise out of the signal path. The aluminum body with black finish and durable steel mesh grille are built to withstand the physical demands of nightly touring and installation environments alike.
With a maximum SPL handling of 144 dB and an off-axis rejection rating exceeding 25 dB, the NCEC performs in high-volume environments without distortion and resists feedback on crowded stages. The 1/4-28 UN S-Type thread connector provides compatibility with compatible Audix wireless transmitter bodies. Designed, assembled, and tested in the USA, and backed by a one-year warranty, the NCEC is a professional-grade drop-in upgrade for engineers who have outgrown the limitations of stock wireless capsules.
