The PDX520 is built for engineers, producers, and content teams who spend hours behind a voice mic and need speech that stays comfortable to listen to. As part of Audix's PDX line of premium dynamic microphones, it gives rooms that are not acoustically ideal a dynamic option for clean spoken word capture.

Setup time matters in busy control rooms and remote kits. This mic delivers usable level at the preamp without added boost, so there is less gain staging to manage before a session starts. Two switches on the body let talent or operators shape the low end and upper midrange at the source, which cuts cleanup time in the edit. The two-position switches are simple to explain to guest talent and easy to set the same way from room to room.
