The Avante IMP118 Imperio Pro is a touring-grade active subwoofer designed for engineers and production companies running large-scale live events, nightclub installs, and mobile DJ rigs where deep, controlled low end is non-negotiable. Pairing natively with the Avante Imperio Pro IMP205 mini line array, the IMP118 is engineered as part of a scalable system rather than a standalone box, giving integrators a coherent solution from sub to top.
On the DSP side, the IMP118 offers selectable crossover points from 60 Hz to 120 Hz with an LR 24 dB per octave slope, plus onboard delay and switchable cardioid and end-fire configurations. That cardioid mode is a meaningful differentiator for live production contexts where rear-stage bleed into monitors or mix positions is a real problem. Variable input gain gives the system engineer precise control over gain structure without relying entirely on the console. Power is handled by a 1800-watt RMS, 3600-watt peak Class-D amplifier, delivering a measured 136 dB peak SPL and a frequency response extending down to 32 Hz at -10 dB.
The enclosure is CNC-machined Baltic birch plywood finished in black polyurea with a powder-coated steel grille, built to absorb the daily punishment of touring. Twenty M10 captive-nut fly points and an M20 pole mount cover a wide range of deployment scenarios, from ground-stacked club installs to flown festival configurations. IP65-rated locking connectors on both the power input and link output prevent accidental disconnection mid-show, and a protective rear panel cover makes outdoor deployment practical. A universal PFC power supply rated 100-240V AC makes the IMP118 tour-ready for international runs.
