The Bag End D12E-I is a passive dual-12" Infrasub system built for engineers and integrators who need verified low-frequency extension in permanent installations. Combining two sealed Infrasub chambers in a compact birch plywood enclosure, it is equally at home in mastering suites, post-production screening rooms, houses of worship, and high-end nightclub installs where accurate, deep bass reproduction is non-negotiable.
Unlike conventional subwoofers that roll off at 20 Hz, the D12E-I achieves flat response down to 8 Hz when paired with Bag End's external Infra-MXB Integrator — a critical distinction for laboratory reference, theatrical sound reinforcement, and any application demanding true infrasonic accuracy. The integrator processes a line-level signal before the amplifier stage, allowing one or more D12E-I systems to be driven cleanly across a matched amplifier chain.
For integrators evaluating enclosure quality, the 18 mm 13-ply birch plywood construction and black Ro Tex water-borne finish signal durability without the bulk of larger competing designs. Optional fly points with a rated safe working load and an available steel yoke mount expand rigging flexibility for overhead or wall-mounted configurations, making this one of the few install subwoofers in its class that supports both surface and flown deployment.
