The NMS-NG10GPX-AVB is a purpose-built managed Ethernet switch for professional AV integrators deploying networked audio systems in corporate, education, and institutional environments. Based on the NETGEAR M4250-10G2XF-POE+ platform, it ships with AVB licensing already activated and a configuration file optimized for Dante and AVB traffic, eliminating the setup burden that generic IT switches impose on AV installers. Eight of the ten 1G copper ports deliver PoE+ with a shared 240W budget, allowing ceiling-mounted Qt X 800 controllers and other powered endpoints to run without dedicated electrical drops.
Two 10G SFP+ uplink ports provide the backbone capacity needed when daisy-chaining up to six units for large-scale masking arrays covering 48 zones. The switch supports WELL Building Standard criteria for sound masking, making it the recommended network infrastructure forQt X installations in open offices, divisible meeting rooms, and educational spaces where speech privacy and acoustic comfort are performance requirements.
