The Blackmagic Design DeckLink IP HD family gives broadcast engineers and systems integrators a direct PCIe path into SMPTE ST2110 IP broadcast infrastructure. These low-profile cards install into rack-mount servers, compact workstations, and Mac Pro systems running macOS, Windows, or Linux, making them a practical choice for facilities migrating from traditional SDI routing to fully networked IP video plants. Each card handles simultaneous capture and playback across multiple HD channels, enabling use cases such as live broadcast graphics servers, virtual set rendering, GPU-based AI image processing, and DaVinci Resolve-based 2110 IP editing and color correction workstations, all operating natively within a managed Ethernet network.

Compliance with SMPTE ST2110-20, -21, -30, and -40 means video, audio, and ancillary data travel independently over the network with PTP clock synchronization keeping all sources locked. NMOS IS-04 and IS-05 support lets these cards participate in virtual routing schemes alongside other ST2110 devices, including Videohub Smart Control. The onboard frame-buffer architecture acts as a video firewall, isolating the card's Ethernet port from anything other than video and audio traffic, which removes a significant security concern when connecting production hardware to managed IP networks.

All variants support HD formats from 720p through 1080p60 as well as 525i59.94 and 625i50 SD standards, with instant switching between standards and 10-bit signal depth throughout. Capture and playback to Apple ProRes, DNxHD, and 10-bit uncompressed formats is supported, and compatibility extends to Final Cut Pro, Media Composer, Premiere Pro, Fusion, After Effects, and broadcast automation platforms on both Mac and Windows. Blackmagic Media Express and Disk Speed Test software are included. Connection type options vary across the family to suit different facility infrastructure requirements.
