Recording natively in Blackmagic RAW across a full range of constant bitrate and constant quality codecs, the PYXIS 12K slots directly into DaVinci Resolve-based post pipelines without transcoding overhead. The 12G-SDI output handles up to 2160p60 for on-set monitoring and switcher integration, while 10Gb Ethernet enables web-based media management, FTP transfers, REST API camera control, and NTP time sync — capabilities that matter on larger multi-camera productions and remote shooting scenarios. The dual CFexpress Type B slots and USB-C external drive port provide redundant or extended recording options suited to long-form shoots.

Compared to fixed-mount cinema cameras in this class, the PYXIS 12K's multi-scale sensor architecture allows native 12K, 8K, and 4K acquisition at full sensor size, preserving field of view and optical characteristics across resolution choices.
