The ATEM 4 M/E Constellation 4K Plus is built for large-scale live production environments where input count, audio integration, and switching density determine workflow. With 80 standards-converted 12G-SDI inputs, 48 12G-SDI aux outputs, 4 DVEs, 2 SuperSource processors, and 16 ATEM Advanced Chroma Keyers, this switcher addresses the demands of concerts, live sports broadcasts, broadcast television production, and house of worship programming that require simultaneous multi-camera coverage and complex layered compositions. The front panel includes a built-in control surface, LCD display, and a 5-pin XLR talkback connector, making it operational without an external panel for setup or emergency use.

The integrated 156-channel Fairlight audio mixer with 6-band parametric EQ, compressor, limiter, expander, and noise gate per input sets this switcher apart from alternatives in its class. For large-scale productions requiring audio breakout, the 4K Plus model includes 4 MADI outputs covering SDI inputs 1 to 60 and 2 additional MADI outputs providing 128 extra mixer input channels. Four independent Ultra HD multi-views, each configurable from 4 to 16 simultaneous views, give operators full situational awareness across up to 64 sources on 4 monitors. The USB-C webcam output enables direct integration with streaming software such as OBS and XSplit, or conferencing platforms, without a dedicated capture device.

Free ATEM Software Control for Mac and Windows connects via Ethernet or USB, supporting media management, macro programming, HyperDeck control, and camera control. Optional ATEM Advanced Panels in 1 M/E, 2 M/E, and 4 M/E configurations provide hardware program/preview switching with integrated LCDs and customizable button illumination. The RJ12 rear talkback connector supports industry-standard intercom systems including ClearCom and RTS, while SDI talkback uses channels 13 through 16 for Blackmagic Design camera integration.
