The ATEM Television Studio 4K8 is engineered for broadcast engineers, live event production teams, and AV integrators who need a self-contained Ultra HD switching solution without building a separate control infrastructure. Its integrated control panel eliminates the need for an external surface, making it practical for flypack rigs, fixed installs, and mid-scale broadcast facilities alike. With support for signals up to 2160p60 across all eight 12G-SDI inputs, the switcher handles everything from HD multicam sports to full Ultra HD broadcast workflows without external format converters.

For production teams running complex compositions, the 4K8 delivers four ATEM Advanced Chroma Keyers, SuperSource, two DVEs, and seven linear/luma keyers simultaneously — capabilities typically reserved for significantly more expensive hardware. The 10-port 12G-SDI aux output bank supports external recorders, confidence monitors, and relay feeds without consuming program or multiview outputs. A built-in 4-port 10G Ethernet switch centralizes connectivity for streaming, camera control, tally distribution, and software control from a single network drop.

Direct RTMP streaming over Ethernet and USB-C external recording via H.264 or H.265 reduce the peripheral count on any production truck or broadcast desk. The 58-channel audio mixer with six-band parametric EQ, dynamics processing, and MADI I/O makes the 4K8 a credible alternative to productions that would otherwise require a separate audio console for program audio management.
