The Blackmagic Design Videohub 80x80 12G is built for broadcast facilities, large-scale live production, and post-production environments that demand high-density signal routing without compromise. On-router control eliminates the need for a dedicated external panel in many workflows. The built-in five-inch full HD LCD displays live video and routing labels, while 24 direct-entry buttons and an electronically clutched spin knob allow fast, confident route changes. SDI re-clocking on every output ensures signal integrity across long cable runs, and dual internal power supplies with crosspoint preservation protect against unexpected outages — a critical requirement in live broadcast and master control environments.

External control via Ethernet supports Blackmagic's hardware control panels and third-party systems using the open Videohub Control Protocol, giving integrators the flexibility to incorporate this router into existing facility control architectures. The four rack unit chassis consolidates what would otherwise require multiple smaller routers, reducing rack space and complexity for demanding production and broadcast installations.
