The Sonance Rear Support Kit adds rear bracing to PowerZone series amplifiers installed in standard 19-inch equipment racks, distributing the chassis weight to both front rack ears and the rear rails. Rear support is recommended for fixed-install racks subject to transport, vibration, or seismic load, and for amplifiers carrying heavier loomed cable harnesses where front-only support could cause chassis flex over time.

The kit drops into standard equipment rack hardware with no chassis modification and complements the PowerZone family of half-rack and full-rack amplifiers used in commercial installation, hospitality, retail, and house of worship deployments.

Rear-rail support is particularly important for transportable rack systems and any amplifier carrying a heavy loomed cable harness or input/output device stack on the rear panel. The added support also protects the front rack ears from long-term fatigue under cyclic loading.

Specify rear support whenever the rack is going onto a truck, into a portable case, or into a fixed installation with seismic considerations. The added support adds negligible cost relative to the cost of repairing a rack-fatigued amplifier chassis later in the install's service life.
