Bogen LB6TB NEAR All-Environment Surface Mount 70V Speaker

The Bogen LB6TB belongs to the NEAR All-Environment Speakers line and is a surface mount loudspeaker for 70V distributed audio systems. It is aimed at integrators and facility AV teams who need to add coverage to existing walls where opening drywall or pulling cable above a ceiling is not practical.

Constant-voltage operation lets a designer place many speakers on a single amplifier line and run long cable distances without the impedance math required by low-impedance wiring. That makes this style of speaker a practical fit for retrofit paging and background music in retail floors, schools, warehouses, corridors, workshops, and office buildings.

Compared with in-ceiling models, a wall-mounted cabinet needs no above-ceiling access and can be serviced from room level. Compared with low-impedance speakers, a unit built for constant-voltage lines avoids adding an external transformer at each location. Confirm mounting hardware and terminal details against Bogen documentation before specifying, since surface mount speakers in this class may or may not include brackets.
