Dual-Pixel CMOS AF II tracks faces, eyes, and animals up to 4K120, reducing the reliance on dedicated focus pullers in run-and-gun situations. The detachable handle unit brings two full-sized XLR inputs with 48V phantom power, meeting the input requirements of professional boom microphones and wireless systems without additional adapters.

Built-in Frame.io Camera-to-Cloud integration transmits proxy files the moment recording stops, accelerating remote collaboration between on-set teams and editors or clients in different locations. The RF mount, paired with a familiar EOS R menu system and a 32MP photo mode capable of 40fps burst, gives operators a versatile tool that transitions cleanly between cinema acquisition and stills coverage on productions where both are required.
