The Chauvet Pro NovaStar CVT-10s is engineered for AV integrators and production technicians who need to bridge long-distance signal runs between NovaStar control systems and LED display panels in permanent or touring installations. By converting a single-mode fiber optic input into ten full-duplex Gigabit Ethernet outputs, it eliminates the distance constraints of conventional copper network cabling — making it the right tool for large-scale event venues, broadcast studios, control rooms, and virtual production stages where controller-to-panel distances exceed standard limits.
Unlike basic media converters, the CVT-10s is purpose-built for the NovaStar ecosystem. It works natively with all NovaStar processors and supports direct integration with the MX40 Pro LED display controller via its USB-B firmware and control port. Its 1U half-space rackmount form factor fits cleanly into equipment racks alongside other NovaStar hardware, and the locking IEC power connection ensures the unit stays secured in production environments where vibration or cable management is a concern.
For installations where signal continuity is non-negotiable — live broadcast, high-profile events, or permanent LED installs — the CVT-10s provides both primary and backup fiber inputs with a redundant Ethernet output working mode, giving engineers a failover path without additional hardware. The 10G optical module with 1,310nm wavelength supports up to 10km of fiber run, covering even the most demanding large-venue or multi-building signal distribution scenarios.
