The Chauvet Pro onAir Producer is a purpose-built handheld controller designed for film, broadcast, and virtual production environments where lighting fixtures are positioned out of direct reach — overhead grids, high ceilings, or rigged positions where walking up to adjust a panel is impractical. Rather than relying on a separate DMX console for basic fixture adjustments, this unit gives cinematographers, gaffers, and broadcast lighting directors direct access to every on-board parameter of compatible onAir fixtures through a single handheld device connected via standard 5-pin XLR.
What separates the onAir Producer from a generic remote or a DMX controller is its deep fixture integration. The OLED display mirrors the fixture's own screen in real time, giving operators the same information they would see standing at the unit itself. Full color parameter control — including CCT selection, green shift, hue, saturation, and value — is accessible without requiring a lighting desk or DMX infrastructure. The preset management system allows users to download settings from one fixture and upload them directly to another, enabling fast, repeatable setups across a multi-fixture rig.
The rechargeable lithium-ion battery charges via USB-C, making it compatible with standard production charging infrastructure.
