- Predictable Spill Control Keeps Beam Edges Off Unwanted Surfaces
- Source Shielding Reduces Visible Glare For Audience And Viewers
- Drop-In Design Seats Directly In The Fixture Accessory Holder
- Screw-Secured Flange Locks The Top Hat In Place During Handling
- Available In Black And White Finishes To Blend With The Rig
Color wash fixtures throw light wherever the lens points, which becomes a problem when the beam spills onto a proscenium, a set wall, or a camera lens. This top hat gives lighting designers and electricians a fast way to define where a ColorBlast 12 or Color Force fixture lands, so the wash reads cleanly on scenery and talent instead of bleeding into adjacent areas.
It also solves a sightline problem. When a fixture hangs at the edge of an audience view or sits inside a scenic element, the bright source can pull attention away from the performance. A top hat shields that glare without moving the fixture, which matters on rigs that are already focused and plotted. Adding or swapping it fits easily into a normal load-in and focus call.
The range suits theaters, rental houses, broadcast sets, and production teams already running Color Kinetics fixtures. Compared with improvised gaffer-tape flags or cardboard shields, a purpose-built accessory looks cleaner on stage and stays consistent from fixture to fixture across a rig.
